Access and Training

Internal Users - UNT faculty, staff and students:

Several options are available to UNT faculty, staff and students if they would like to gain access to CART instrumentation:

Option I. (highly preferred)
Enroll in the class and laboratory covering the appropriate technique. At the end of the course successfully demonstrate safe equipment operation procedures in a test given by the manager of the equipment.

Option II.

  1. Independently study the theory and methodology of the technique using suggested texts and articles
AND demonstrate basic knowledge and applications of the technique. An oral exam given by the equipment administrator may be required.
  2. After completing step 1 become familiar with operation of the equipment through observing approved users and operating the equipment under the guidance of the equipment administrator.
  3. After completing step 2 successfully demonstrate equipment operation procedures in a test given by the manager of the equipment.

If you have extensive previous experience with this equipment or similar equipment, only step 3 is required following approval by the equipment administrator.

Option III.
If you only need a couple of pieces of data, please complete this form or contact David Jaeger to discuss options.
