American Culture and Communication Program
The American Culture & Communication Program (ACCP) offers students and teachers from around the world the opportunity to study and practice English at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Our goal is to give participants a unique opportunity to learn English and increase fluency through cultural immersion, social interaction, experiential learning, and engagement with the community of UNT, Denton, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Participants will be able to meet and network with UNT faculty and students, explore majors and future careers in the U.S., and learn about attending an American university.

Passport to the University (for teenagers)
The 2016 Passport to the University Program offers 15 to 17-year-old high school students from around the world the opportunity to study English, learn about the American university admissions process, and live on the University of North Texas’ beautiful campus in the vibrant city of Denton, Texas. This exciting summer program will give them an edge on being accepted at competitive universities in the United States.

English for the Tourism Industry
The University of North Texas’ (UNT) Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) and College of Merchandising, Hospitality, and Tourism (CMHT) have collaborated to bring students a special program designed for international students who are interested in careers related to hospitality and tourism management. Students enrolled in this program will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to study hospitality and tourism principles and improve their English communication in and out of the classroom while experiencing life on an American campus.

TOEFL iTP Preparation
This intensive overview of the TOEFL ITP is designed for students who plan to study at the University of North Texas. The course focuses on the format and directions of the TOEFL, test-taking strategies, listening, reading and grammar skills, and gives students practice tests so they are fully prepared.

Pronunciation and Accent Reduction
The pronunciation and accent reduction course is designed to improve students’ abilities to understand and pronounce English by focusing on speech patterns such as word stress, thought groups, focus words, final sounds, and linking.  Students will learn to identify difficult areas of pronunciation so that they may target them. By the end of the course, students will have built their confidence and increased their comfort in speaking English.
