The Special Collections department collects and preserves rare and unique materials including rare books, oral histories, university archives, historical manuscripts, maps, microfilm, photographs, art and artifacts. Students, faculty and the public are welcome to access collections and view special exhibits in our Fourth floor Reading Room.

Please join us on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 when 2015 Fellow William A. Taylor will give his lecture In the Service of Democracy: American Military Service from World War II to the Present at 1:00 p.m. in Willis Library, Room 340.
According to Taylor, his project will "contribute to a latter chapter in a broader work on American military service from World War II to the present."
Please join us on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 when 2016 Fellow Hillary Anderson will give her lecture Radicalizing the South: Race, Gender, and Sexuality in 1970s Liberation Movements at 1:00 p.m. in Willis Library, Room 340.
According to Anderson, her project "seeks to locate subaltern voices that add depth, richness, a fresh geography, and complexity to the historical narrative of civil rights in the 1970s.."
