Department of Disability and Addiction Rehabilitation Certificates

The UNT Department of Disability and Addiction Rehabilitation offers certificates in substance use disorder treatment, rehabilitation studies and a post-graduate advanced certificate in rehabilitation counseling. The undergraduate level certificates require four courses (12 hours) and complement degrees in anthropology, criminal justice, education, humanities, psychology, rehabilitation, sociology and social work, among others. The certificate in rehabilitation counseling requires 21 hours of course work and is designed for current and aspiring rehabilitation counselors who intend to pursue the certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) credential.

The undergraduate level certificates provide only the educational requirements deemed mandatory by state law for licensure. For more details on licensure, students should consult the Texas Department of Human Services directly at http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/lcdc/.
