Great Global Citizens Month

Great Global Citizens Month at the University of North Texas takes place in the Spring semester, usually in April. It provides international students and domestic students alike a chance to introduce their cultures and traditions to the University of North Texas and the surrounding Denton community through fairs, exhibits, and performances. The University of North Texas has over twenty-eight hundred international students.

Our international events are an opportunity to have fun and meet new people while educating yourself and the community about different cultures and traditions. What better way to learn about other cultures than through people who know the country best. And these people are right here at the University of North Texas. These are some of the events held in April:

  • Flag Parade at University Day
  • International Fair & Market at Earth Fest
  • International Food Fair
  • Basant Kite Festival
  • Japanese Festival
  • Korean Festival
  • International Cuisines at Dining Halls
  • International Film Festival

...and many other events by student organizations, UNT departments, etc.

Starting the first week of February there will be volunteer meetings every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the International Center, Marquis, room 110. Be a part of the Celebration and volunteer to be a committee member to help organize events. The following are these committees:

  • Flag Committee
  • International Food Fair
  • Media/Publicity
  • World Cultures Tour
  • International Fair & Market
