UNT chef Andrew Klipsch has plenty of ideas for the game day food for Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7.
“There really is only a 50/50 chance that you and your guests will enjoy watching the game, depending on how your team is doing,” Klipsch said. “A good way to make sure your party is fun for everyone is to go all out with food. I suggest picking one food theme, which could be dips, sandwiches or chili.
“If you pick sandwiches, go big and have five types of sandwiches and a lot of sides. Make sure at least one of your sandwiches – or dips or chili if you pick those – is a recipe people won’t expect and maybe has flavors your guests haven’t tried before,” he said. “Serving something unexpected is a great conversation starter during slower parts of the game.”
