‘Tis the season to party hearty. But if you are not up to driving after a festive evening, plan to call for assistance with the confidential SafeRide program.
The program also is available at any time for other unanticipated circumstances such as drowsiness due to medication or the distraction of emotional distress, such as a family death, divorce or other concerns that may impair your ability to drive safely.
SafeRide is provided by the free, confidential Employee Assistance Program or EAP. Users must pay cab/transportation fare, and then have the cost reimbursed by Alliance Work Partners (AWP), the university’s EAP provider.
SafeRide may be used up to three times, and should take you (or your family member) to your place of residence.
