Kwon Shoots A Final Round Of 74 To Lead The Mean Green

NEW BRAUNFELS, Tex. – Junior Eji Kwon had a final round surge for the North Texas women’s golf team in the final round of the All There August Challenge. Kwon had four birdies on the day and shot a score of 3-over par 74 to climb into a tie for 36th place overall.

The final round saw Kwon play the front nine holes at 1-under par. Nyca Khaw shot her best round of the tournament with a score of 5-over par 76. Khaw had two birdies on her first three holes of the day. She ended the tournament in a tie for 49th place.

Freshman Samantha Huang was 7-over on the day and closed in a tie for 62nd place. Kalli Jennings and Ali Christian struggled in the third-round as they shot scores of 84 and 88.

North Texas as a team shot a third-round score of 312 and moved into a 12th place tie with ULM and UT-Rio Grande Valley. Sam Houston State leaped past Middle Tennessee to capture the team championship.

The Mean Green is back in action February 23-24 at the Islander Spring Classic.
