Student and Faculty Research Symposium

Student and Faculty Research Symposium

The Student and Faculty Research Symposium intends to bring together students and faculty across the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex (DFW) to share and exchange knowledge, experiences, opinions, and research regarding all academic disciplines concerning the African continent. All universities and colleges within DFW are invited to participate in this symposium.

To that end, the symposium aims to bring together students (undergraduate and graduate) and faculty from all disciplines to present their research, contribute to dialogue on the process of thinking and re-thinking Africa, and extend the boundaries of knowledge about the African continent. All subject areas are welcome, including, but not limited to, Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Environmental Science, Music, Public Administration, Radio and Television, and Inter-disciplinary studies. The theme of the symposium is therefore - Thinking and Re-Thinking Africa!

The symposium is organized by the UNT Africa Task Force, a faculty and staff-led interest group involved in research and teaching activities regarding Africa, as well as supported by UNT-International.
