Safety seminar planned April 10

The UNT Police, Risk Management and the Dean of Students’ office will host a Campus Safety and Security Seminar from 1 to 2:30 p.m. April 10 in the Gateway Center, Rooms 43 and 47.

The seminar, aimed for all faculty, students and staff at UNT, will cover general safety; disruptive students, faculty and staff; the Clery Act; active shooters; and safety tips.

“We’re trying to cover issues that people can use not only in their jobs at UNT, but in their everyday lives,” said Maureen McGuinness, the dean of students and assistant vice president for Student Affairs.

Representatives from the above offices will discuss prevention and resources you have at your fingertips on campus as well as general safety tips and suggestions for everyday life.
