Visiting scholar to address environmental philosophy class

Kurt HeidingerVisiting scholar Kurt Heidinger, right, will speak to an ecology class on field environmental philosophy from 3:30 to 5 p.m. March 4 in the Chemistry Building, Room 253

Faculty and staff are invited to attend.

Heidinger, who is director of the Biocitizen School of Field Environmental Philosophy in North Hampton, Mass. He has been developing environmental philosophy curriculum since 1994 and served from 2005 to 2007 as a visiting research professor for the Center for Environmental Philosophy at UNT.

The Sub-Antarctic Biocultural Conservation Program in the Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies is hosting Heidinger’s visit.
