Guest artists offer new perspectives

Work with renowned guests and gain new insight from performers, composers, scholars and researchers brought to campus for residencies, master classes and lectures. Past artists include saxophonist Walt Weiskopf, jazz legend Dave Brubeck, theorist Allen Forte and violinist Pinchas Zukerman.

Discover the international language of music

Visit Hungary to participate in workshops at the Kodaly Institute, study Ghanaian music and culture in country, spend a semester studying jazz in Stockholm at the Royal College of Music — these are just a few of the life-changing opportunities available through our Study Abroad program.

Martin Clark

“UNT’s voice faculty is my second family. My private voice teacher is like my parent and the other faculty members are like supportive aunts and uncles who are eager to see me succeed. By coaching me on diction, encouraging me and imparting wisdom, the entire voice faculty has had a positive impact on me.”
