Wed, 01/14/2015 - 14:03 -- Anonymous (not verified)

Welcome to Air Force ROTC Detachment 835, home of the Lone Star Eagles.  Our mission is to develop quality leaders to serve our country as officers in the United States Air Force.  While enrolled in AFROTC, you will be introduced to exciting and rewarding career opportunities in today's most innovative and technologically advanced Air Force, while finishing college with the degree of your choice.  You will grow as an individual, both mentally and physically, and you will learn the value of integrity, teamwork, and perseverance.  You will develop strong leadership skills that will benefit you as you serve our country as an Air Force officer and a citizen in the local community.

We have high standards to become an Air Force officer and only about 30% of those who initially apply complete the program and are commissioned as second lieutenants.  I challenge you to see if you are one of the select few who can soar with the eagles of AFROTC Det 835!

- Lt Col Jody Addison, Commander of AFROTC Det 835 and Professor of Aerospace Studies

Oklahoma Residents!

A new tuition rate for Oklahoma residents launches this fall at the University of North Texas – located only 37 miles south of the Oklahoma border.

Students seeking a bachelor’s degree can now attend UNT for about half the cost of out-of-state tuition – allowing greater access to UNT’s excellent quality and prime location.

Now UNT's excellence is available to Oklahoma residents at a significant savings

Eagle Express!

Tuition costs are a big part of planning for college – and a big concern. UNT offers you an innovative solution to rising college costs with the Eagle Express plan. Eagle Express is more than a tuition plan, it’s a plan for success.

  • UNT’s Eagle Express plan locks in your total academic costs for four years.
  • It pays to graduate on time. Save up to $3,000 in your last 15 hours (typically your last semester) by graduating in four years, and if you qualify for the statewide on-time $1,000 tuition rebate, you’ll save $4,000.
  • You’ll save time and money by knowing your academic costs up front, graduating on time and earning a full-time salary sooner.

Take these four easy steps for success:
