Chandra Donnell, assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work and Addictions, received the 2012 Joyce Keener Award from the National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns.
Donnell was cited for her continued dedication to the field of rehabilitation and support of persons with disabilities from diverse backgrounds and her commitment through service and research to issues affecting people of color with disabilities. She also has been a leader in the organization throughout her career.
She is the first UNT faculty to receive the award.
This award is named for the inspirational first national leader of National Association of Multicultural Rehabilitation Concerns and convener of the first national association conference in 1993.
