Biography

Kathryn Ostermeier, a PhD student in the Department of Management, was born and raised in Texas. She received her BBA in Business Honors from Texas A&M University in 2012 and pursued a career in agency (or third party) recruiting upon graduation. While working as a recruiter, she began her MBA at The University of Texas at Tyler with the intent of pursuing a PhD after its completion. Kathryn completed her MBA in August of 2014, shortly before joining UNT as a doctoral student.

Her research interests are in the areas of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. Current projects include research on authenticity, extra-role behaviors, and contextual performance.

Kathryn has presented her research at the Southern Management Assication (SMA) annual meeting and has had papers accepted for presentation at the Midwest Academy of International Business (AIB-MW) annual meeting, Southwest Academy of Managment (SWAM) annual meeting, and the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP) annual meeting.  Her research on the Affordable Care Act is forthcoming in the Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship.
