In the Real Estate major, you can pursue a concentration and certification in Residential Property Management. This concentration, which focuses on the multifamily housing industry, is available at a limited number of universities. It’s been developed in consultation with the Texas Apartment Association.
In addition to being outstanding teachers, our faculty members are certified brokers, appraisers, right-of-way agents and consultants who remain current on trends and applications through research. They’ve written numerous articles and books in their area of expertise and incorporate their experiences and research into the course curriculum.
The North Texas Real Estate Club provides unique views on current events and networking opportunities. Other networking opportunities are available through the UNT Real Estate Alumni Association.
Scholarships sponsored by the department are available to help you pursue your education. Students have also earned scholarships from the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Commercial Real Estate Women Network.
A Living-Learning Community brings together business students who live on campus to enhance academic and social experiences.
The Transfer Student Learning Community allows transfer students to form strong bonds by taking several classes with a small group of business classmates.

This distinction means it meets or exceeds high standards of excellence in education.
Our Business Leadership Building accommodates 8,000 students and promotes interaction among students, faculty and industry leaders. The building — which has Gold-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification for sustainability — contains 24 classrooms, team study rooms and a state-of-the-art general access computer lab.

The Career Center can provide advice about internships, future employment opportunities and getting hands-on experience in your major. The Learning Center offers workshops on speed reading, study skills and time management. Academic advisors will help you plan your class schedule each semester.
We encourage you to fulfill the graduation requirements for the distinguished level of achievement under the Texas Foundation, Recommended or Distinguished Achievement high school program or the equivalent.
Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses can count toward college credit at UNT.
