What we offer

The Department of Management's top priority is its students. We demonstrate this through the ongoing assessment of our curriculum, faculty-led research and service to the profession and community. Our curriculum follows the certification guidelines established by the internationally recognized Society for Human Resource Management.

In addition to innovative teaching methods, faculty members are experienced practitioners and consultants for various businesses and organizations. They conduct research to remain current on industry trends. Their experiences and research complement a curriculum that examines:

  • Compensation and benefits administration
  • Employee and labor relations
  • Legal aspects of employment benefits
  • Recruitment, selection and placement
  • Workplace health and safety

Study abroad programs allow you to examine organizational behavior issues globally by visiting European industrial sites, experiencing Asian marketplaces and observing coffee harvests in Latin America.

Scholarships sponsored by the department and college are available to help you pursue your degree.

You can meet professionals in the field through our student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, which has been recognized as a top chapter. The Professional Leadership Program works with corporate partners in the region to get you the skills needed to be competitive in the workforce.

A Living-Learning Community brings together business students who live on campus to enhance academic and social experiences.
