What we offer

This option provides you the flexibility to create a degree program that best suits your individual and potential career interests. This is accomplished by integrating two different business areas offered by the College of Business rather than just choosing one major area.

The two areas are chosen in consultation with your academic advisor, who'll provide assistance the entire time you're in the program. Examples of potential combinations include:

  • Economics with accounting
  • Information technology with finance
  • Management with financial services
  • Marketing with human relations
  • Entrepreneurship with strategic management
  • Residential property management with marketing or entrepreneurship

It's also possible to choose International Business as one of your two areas. You'll enroll in international business courses while honing your foreign language skills through a careful selection of course work.

In addition to completing required courses, you can earn academic credit through select, approved internship and study abroad opportunities.

Our faculty members are dedicated teachers and nationally recognized professionals who utilize a "learn today, apply tomorrow" classroom philosophy. They also remain current on issues through research.

Scholarships are available from the college and department to help you pursue your education.

The Business Living-Learning Community and business-related student organizations enhance academic and social experiences for our students. The Professional Leadership Program helps you develop the skills it takes to lead in the corporate world.

The College of Business, which is one of the nation's 20 largest business schools, is accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (777 South Harbour Island Blvd., Suite 750; Tampa, Fla. 33602; telephone 813-769-6500). This means the college meets or exceeds strict academic standards for excellence in education.

The Business Leadership Building promotes interaction among students, faculty and industry leaders. The facility — which has Gold-level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification for sustainability — contains 24 classrooms, team study rooms and a state-of-the-art computer lab.
