Why did you decide to attend UNT?
My senior year in high school I toured the campus with my dad and immediately fell in love. UNT continues to create a welcoming environment for incoming students and I couldn’t ask for a better college experience. I also grew up in East Texas so being just a few hours from home is great!
Favorite place/thing to do in Denton:
I love walking around the downtown square and just enjoying the shops and restaurants like Beth Maries and the Downtown Mini Mall! I can also spend hours in Recycled Books getting lost amongst the maze of books.
What advice do you have for prospective students?
Venture out from your comfort zone and try something new! I was terrified to leave my dorm room at West hall but so glad I did. I met my lifelong friends joining student organizations and attending various UNT events on campus. You will never forget your college experience so why not make it an AWESOME one!
What is a random fact about you?
I was born in Michoacán, Mexico and moved to Texas when I was 3.
