Men's Rugby

The UNT Men's Rugby Club is a competitive sports team dedicated to achieving excellence in the sport of rugby.  The club is open to all students of UNT, regardless of previous rugby experience.  We compete in the Southwest Collegiate Rugby Conference.  Currently TCU, Texas State, UT, Rice, Sam Houston, University of Houston and St. Edwards are in our conference.  We have been consistently ranked in the top four teams in our division for the past 10 years.

Rugby combines the physicality and intensity of football with the skill and finesse of soccer or basketball.  The sport is easy to learn and hard to quit.  Opportunities to play rugby extend beyond college sports as there are many men's teams in the DFW area.  These men's clubs are always looking for players out of college and are often able to find job opportunities for prospective players.

Our club is interested in any athletes looking for a competitive sport that will challenge them physically and mentally.  Our practices include sessions of arduous conditioning, fundamental skill building drills, and situational scrimmaging.

Practice Venue: Rec Sports Complex
Practice Times: Tuesday/Thursday 6-9pm
Practices occur during the Fall and Spring semesters.
