UNT-I Horizontal Bar Logo

UNT is excited that you are considering to offer an innovative and academically challenging experience abroad!  Developing a course taught abroad is a university-wide, labor of love where we are all eager to help you be successful.  It is also inline with university goals of creating global citizens who are prepared for the workplace.

Visit the proposal application page for more information on the process.  You can review the handbook and timeline through this portal which is a critical step in developing a successful proposal.  Also, the Faculty Led Program Proposal presentation provides guidance on developing a strong proposal.

Call 940.565.2207 to schedule a meeting with Ms. Julia Smith to get started.

What is a Faculty Led Course?

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (19 Tex. Admin. Code § 4.262 (18, 31)) defines a course taught abroad as one offered for academic credit where 51% or more of the instruction takes place outside of the U.S.  If the course will be taught primarily on campus, please refer to our International Field Trip Registration webpage.

Ready to Submit a Proposal?

Those interested in submitting a proposal to teach a course abroad should read the faculty leader handbook prior to starting the process.  Please note that only the primary faculty leader should submit a proposal: Application Page.
