Our Mission

The Center for Student Affairs at Discovery Park, as part of the University Union, enhances the educational process and builds community by providing an inclusive environment where individuals are valued through quality programs and support services.

The Center for Student Affairs values:

  • Being Community-Oriented: We value university traditions by creating a campus spirit and engaging students in student activities and organizations on both campuses.
  • Being Service-Driven: We value providing student services to the Discovery Park Campus and collaborating with other offices in the Division of Student Affairs and other university entities.
  • Being Leadership-Oriented: We value providing opportunities for leadership development of students through programs and hands-on experience; and
  • Being Student-Centered: We value creating, implementing and facilitating the use of policies aimed at creating a safer and more inclusive environment for the growth and development of all students.

Services

The Center for Student Affairs (CSA) strives to make daily life easier for students while on the Discovery Park campus. The Discovery Park campus is open 7 days a week from 6am – midnight. Here is a quick list of services to help students adjust to life at DP.

Career Center

The UNT Career Center has a satellite office on the Discovery Park campus. Students needing assistance with internships or career advice can make an appointment to speak with a counselor.

Learning Center

Learning Center. The Learning Center has several programs to enhance learning and facilitate academic excellence for students. E2 is a tutoring program specifically for engineers.
