Study Abroad Travel Grant
UNT Students pay Student Service Fees that are collected by Student Accounting for each academic term that students attend UNT, which goes into an account managed by the Student Government Association (SGA). SGA has generously awared an allocation of these fees to a travel grant account administered by the UNT Study Abroad Office (SAO) exclusively for UNT students on approved programs abroad. This allocation must be applied for each academic year, and SAO will post information on subsequent years as soon as it is available.
This grant is based on financial need. Due to very limited funds, there is one notification period for each term.

International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS)
UNT Students pay a International Education Fee that is collected by Student Accounting for each academic term that students attend UNT, which goes into a scholarship account administered by the UNT Study Abroad Office (SAO) exclusively for UNT students on approved programs abroad.
This scholarship is competitive and is awarded based on a combination of merit and need. There are several notification periods throughout each term.
