DENTON (11/17/06) - The North Texas volleyball team plays Middle Tennessee in the semifinals of the Johnny Carino’s Volleyball Conference Championship on Friday night at 5 pm at the Mean Green Volleyball Center.
Western Kentucky and Florida International play in the second semifinal at 7:30 pm.
The two winners will face off in the conference championship on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm. The match will air live on Cox Sports TV.
The Mean Green defeated fifth seeded New Orleans, 3-0, on Thursday night to advance to the semifinals. The win was only NT's second in conference championship play.
The Blue Raiders are the No. 1 seed in the tournament. North Texas defeated Middle Tennessee, 3-2, on October 1 at home.
