DENTON, Texas - North Texas volleyball exacted revenge on SFA, reversing the sweep it received at the hands of the Lady Jacks a year ago, by cutting them down in three.

"Tonight, I thought we were consistent on offense," head coach Andrew Palileo said. "And with some timely defense, we were able to get out ahead and sustain the lead with our side out game."

Offensively, North Texas got a boost from junior transfer Chandler Hatton (Florida Atlantic), who put in nine kills, a career-high.

"I thought Chandler's performance was big time for her," libero Shelby Tamura said. "She brings a new outlook on the right side to our offense."

Sophomore Carnae Dillard led the team kill-wise with 15, and she tacked on nine digs.

Interesting Stat of the Night
Freshman Amy Henard was the sole double-double in the victory with 41 assists (her season-high in a three-set match) and 11 digs.

What's Next?
North Texas has a quick turnaround as it welcomes ECU to Denton on Friday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. to open up its first season in C-USA play.
