BOISE, Id. - In its second match of the Bronco Volleyball Classic, the North Texas volleyball team was simply outplayed by Boise State, which posted a .285 kill percentage in the four-set fight.

The Mean Green never truly threatened Boise throughout the first two sets despite a strong showing from junior Hallie McDonald, who got the start at middle blocker.

But North Texas awoke in the third, receiving clutch kill shots from junior Karissa Flack and sophomore Carnae Dillard, and won the set in extras, 29-27.

Unfortunately, the Mean Green counter offensive would end in the fourth. Despite a valiant comeback when it was down late to cut the deficit to three, Boise State would finish strong and close the Mean Green out.

Flack tied a career high with her 13 kills and was among four North Texas players to notch double-digit kills.

Sophomore Analisse Shannon tacked on five blocks.

The Mean Green will conclude its time in Boise, Id., Saturday morning against Idaho at 11 a.m.
