DENTON, Texas - In a highly-anticipated local match, the Mean Green volleyball team (2-2) pulled out a victory over rival UT-Arlington (3-1) in four sets (21-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20) in its home opener.

Freshman Carnae Dillard mashed home a team-high 17 kills on 43 attacks while freshman setter Amy Henard unleashed 53 assists in the win.
