DENTON, Texas - North Texas track and field’s Tom Kalisky, Connor Bey and Kylee Kittrell have been named to the 2013-14 Conference USA All-Academic Team, announced Wednesday.

The Mean Green represents three out of the 24 members of the All-Academic Team, who qualified based on academics (a GPA of 3.2 or higher) and their performance on the track or field. Kalisky and Kitrell were among the nine who finished the academic year with a 4.0 cumulative GPA.

Kalisky is a senior engineering major whose success does not stop in the classroom. Kalisky javelin throw of 64.02 meters at the UTEP Invitational makes him the second all-time performer in North Texas history, and placed in the top-three three times during the 2014 outdoor season.

Bey is a sophomore computer science major with a 3.95 GPA in the 2014 academic year. On the track, he posted a personal-best of 21.70 seconds in the 200m at the Longhorn Invitational, and had a top-three finish in the 400m at the North Texas Classic. Bey was a member of the distance medley relay team which set a school record at the C-USA indoor championships (10:00.68) for a silver-medal finish. Bey qualified for the NCAA Western Preliminaries, May 29-31, as a member of the 4X400m relay.

Kittrell, a sophomore accounting major and distance specialist, accumulated a top-five finish in the 800m and 1500m during the indoor season. She placed in the top-16 at the C-USA indoor championships in the mile run with a personal-best time of 5:13.97.
