The North Texas tennis duo, Kseniya Bardabush and Alexis Thoma, advance to the third round of doubles against the University of Texas, Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
In doubles play, the Mean Green’s Bardabush and Thoma defeated Texas A&M Corpus Christi (due to injury) and Rice (8-3). While Dane Joubert and Agustina Valenzuela defeated the duo from Texas State (8-1) but fell to Texas Tech in the second round (8-2).
In singles play, North Texas had three of six players move past the first round of elimination. Bardabush defeated TAMUCC’s Garcia-Diaz (6-2, 6-3), while Ana Sofia Cordero defeated Giada D'Ortona from University of Texas Arlington (2-6, 6-4, 6-4). The Mean Green’s Kamilla Galieva went 6-0, 6-0 against Brianah Creek from Incarnate Word.
