The Tulsa Invitational Starts 2014 Off Strong

TULSA, Okla. -

The North Texas tennis team completed their first tournament of spring play. Freshman Kamilla Galieva went undefeated winning her flight which completed day three at the Tulsa Invitational.

"Kamilla had an outstanding tournament," said head coach Sujay Lama. "She is one of the hardest workers and her hard work this off-season paid off. She will be a tough out for teams this spring."

The final day of singles play North Texas faced Tulsa, were Galieva was one of six to earn a win against the conference opponents.

"Overall, I am very pleased with our performance," Lama said. "We competed at a high level throughout the weekend and got to shake off the rust."

The Mean Green with head back to Oklahoma to take on the Sooners Jan. 19.
