DENTON, Texas (6/22/10) -- North Texas incoming freshman Jordan Terry capped her high school softball career with Dallas Morning News All-Area Second Team honors. Terry, a senior on the Rowlett High School softball team, hit .330, posted 10 home runs and knocked in 34 RBIs during her final season.
Terry and the Rowlett softball team finished with a 30-7-2 record in 2010, winning the district 10-5A championship and advancing to the Class 5A Region II finals. The Eagles' bid for a state tournament appearance ended with a loss to Tomball in the deciding third game in the best of three series.
Terry will join the Mean Green as a freshman for the 2010-11 school year. She joins Kailee Carr, Darian Blake and Jackie Miller who all signed during the early signing period as incoming freshmen.
