Kwon Has Second-Best Finish Of Her Career In Tulsa

TULSA – Eji Kwon notched the second-best finish of her career and the North Texas women’s golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the Bob Hurley Shootout.

Kwon finished tied for sixth place with a three-round score of 221, the second lowest finish of her career. It is the eighth top-20 finish of her career and the third top-10 finish. She posted a final round of 5-over par 77.

Freshman Kalli Jennings shot a final-round of 77 and posted her first top-20 finish as she ended in a tie for 20th place. Abbi Shaddix struggled on the day at 11-over par, but finished in a tie for 43rd place.

Nyca Khaw shot a 9-over par and Samantha Huang shot a 7-over par, which was her best round of the tournament.

North Texas as a team slipped into a tie for seventh place with UTEP after a third-round score of 314.

The Mean Green return to action Oct. 5-7 at the Price’s Give Em Five Intercollegiate.
