Women’s Golf Completes Day One At BYU Entrada Classic

PROVO, Utah – The North Texas women’s golf team finished in 13th place after 36 holes Monday at the BYU Entrada Classic. 

Junior Eji Kwon leads the team in a tie for 54th place after firing rounds of 85 and 79 on Day One. Kwon came back after shooting her worst round of the season with a solid 79 in round two. 

Junior Ali Christian bounced back in round two with a season-low 75 after shooting an opening round of 92 in the opening round. She is in 66th place after pouring in five birdies in that round of 75. Freshman Kalli Jennings finished in 72nd place following two rounds of 86. 

Sophomore Devin Edwards is in 77th place after shooting a 93 and 83 on the day. Sophomore Nyca Khaw was disqualified in round one but shot a second round 89 sitting in 80th place. 

BYU, ranked 36th nationally, holds a commanding 17-stroke lead over Iowa going into the final round of play, which begins Tuesday morning.
