2014-15 • Won the 2015 Texas State Amateur Championship, becoming just the third NT golfer to win the championship • Helped led North Texas to the 2015 Conference USA Championship by winning both his matches during the semifinals and championship of match play • Named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team • Finished in the top-25 five different times • Notched a career-best finish of seventh place at the Reveille Challenge • Shot a season-low round of 70 on four different occassions
High School: • Rated the 16th best player in Texas and is ranked as the 152nd junior golfer in the world •Cotton is ranked as the 80th best player in the class of 2014 •Cotton played in 10 events as a junior and scored one win, five top-10 finishes, and three top-five finishes and one win • He led Cinco Ranch to the Class 5A Region III in 2013 and 2014, title and an 11th place finish at the UIL State tournament in 2013 • Named to the all-region team in 2014 • Cotton qualified for the 2013 U.S. Amateur • He also recorded top-10 finishes in American Junior Golf Association events in during the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio • He is a three-time all-district player and was a second-team All-State selection in 2013 •Cotton played in the UIL State tournament as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior • Cotton has also excelled in the classroom, where he has been a four-time academic all-district student.
