DENTON, Texas (7/03/09) - The Mean Green Athletic Department is once again a proud sponsor of the Denton Kiwanis Club’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show. This year’s show will be held at Fouts Field on Saturday, July 4th with the west side stands only opening at 5:30 pm. The entire evening is free to the public, although donations to the Kiwanis Club Children’s Clinic will be accepted.
Live music featuring Thad Bonduris and the Fun Addix, as well as Nashville musician Janny McCLure, begins at 6:30 pm on the Budweiser Stage inside Fouts Field. Bounce houses for the kids will be open at the south end zone area at the same time. A massive pyrotechnic display will begin around 9:40 pm.
Concessions will be available on the west side stands and fans are allowed to bring their own coolers. No glass containers or folding chairs are allowed inside the stadium, however. There is also no smoking allowed inside Fouts Field.
