Waters Named To NFL All-Pro Team

DENTON (1/11/06) Former North Texas football standout and two-time Pro Bowl selection Brian Waters was named to The Associated Press 2005 NFL All-Pro team.

The guard was named to his first All-Pro team after another stellar season with the Kansas City Cheifs. The six-year pro paved the way for Chiefs running back Larry Johnson to rush for 1,750 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2005.

At North Texas, Waters played nearly every position on both sides of the ball, finding two-way success as a tight end and all-conference defensive tackle.

Signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a free-agent defensive lineman and tight end, Waters has since started 72 consecutive games for the Chiefs. Last season, Waters became the first offensive lineman to ever be named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
