DENTON, Texas- North Texas women's basketball was ranked 29th in CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Top 25 poll released on Tuesday. The Mean Green have started the season 6-2, the best start since 2005-06, under new head coach Karen Aston.
The Mean Green received 23 votes, and are 29 votes away from Creighton and Lamar's tie for 25th in the poll. The Mean Green have a total of five games scheduled against teams in the poll, having lost 70-60 to No. 11 Oral Roberts, and has games remaining at No. 11 Missouri State, No. 18 Middle Tennessee and a home-and-home with No. 20 Denver.
The Mean Green take on Alabama at the Super Pit, the first SEC team to visit Denton since 2003, Wednesday, December 7th at 7 p.m.
