DENTON, Texas - The North Texas women's basketball team plays their final home game of the season as they host Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday night at the Super Pit. The Mean Green will honor two senior's before the game which tips off at 7 p.m. and can be heard on 88.1 FM KNTU. The Ragin Cajuns won the first meeting of the year 80-78.

North Texas will bid farewell to a pair of seniors on Wednesday night. Brittney James and Torrian Timms will both play their final home games at the Super Pit against the Ragin Cajuns. James has been a mainstay of the North Texas lineup since arriving on campus for her freshman year in 2006-07.

She has her name in the record books and is in the top 10 all-time in points, 3-pointers, field goals, free throws, and steals. James is the only player in school history to record over 1,000 points, 100 3-pointers, and 200 steals in her career.

Brittney James who has already made a large impact in the North Texas record books this season, has added another one to her list. James became just the sixth player in school history to top the 1,300 point mark as she sits with 1,310 points in her career.

She has 392 points this season, which is 61 points away from joining the top 10 in a single season for most points. If James can join the top 10, it will mark back-to-back seasons where the Mean Green will have had a player score reach the top 10 in points in a single season.

North Texas currently sits in the No. 11 seed for the upcoming conference tournament. The Mean Green can still finish as high as the No. 9 seed or as low as the No. 12 seed.
