DENTON, Texas - North Texas women's hoops opened up practice for the 2013-14 season today in the Super Pit, and head coach Mike Petersen, now in his second year, gave a little insight into his offseason plan of creating more home dates during the non-con portion of the schedule.
"We are really happy with our non-conference schedule this year because we accomplished the two goals we made for ourselves; to create more home games so our fans could see our team more, and to make sure our schedule is competitive and covered with quality opponents such as Texas A&M and SMU at home, and Oklahoma State and Houston on the road," Petersen said. "This is a really competitive schedule that provides plenty of home dates for us."
