- Junior transfer Collin Dennis led NT with 16 points, marking the fourth time this season he’s scored in double figures. He’s led the Mean Green in scoring in each of those four outings.
- The Mean Green connected on 31-of-49 field goals vs. the Jaguars, the fifth highest shooting percentage (63.3%) in school history. It also marks the second straight game with a field goal percentage over 60 for NT.
- NT’s win over Southern is the Mean Green’s second straight against the Jaguars and gives NT a 2-1 lead in the brief series.
- Keith Wooden bounced back from an injury to shoot 5-of-5 from the floor and finish with 10 points. Wooden has now scored in double figures in 4 of the 8 games he’s played this season.
- North Texas topped Southern in rebounding, 33-28, and the Mean Green remain unbeaten in the battle of the boards this season.
- The Mean Green set a season high with eight blocked shots against Southern. Three players had two blocks apiece, including Harold Stewart, Quincy Williams and Kedrick Hogans.
- The Mean Green has now registered at least three blocked shots in 6 of 9 games this season.
