TEAM

Texas Tech now leads the overall series 9-6, and avenges last year’s North Texas 92-83 overtime win in Denton.

NT forced 12 steals on the night, marking its first back-to-back double digit steal games since the opening two contests of the 2007-08 season (10 each).

Texas Tech committed 20 turnovers on the night, and NT made them pay. The Mean Green outscored the Red Raiders 23-8 in points off turnovers.

North Texas made its first nine free throw attempts of the night, and finished the evening with an 81.0 percent mark from the stripe – a stark improvement over Friday’s 12-of-20 (60 percent) from the stripe.
