DENTON, Texas - The North Texas men's basketball season opener against Henderson State, originally scheduled for 5 p.m. on Nov. 12, is being moved to noon to accommodate Denton ISD Day at the Super Pit.
The 2010 Sun Belt Champions will host approximately two thousand DISD elementary and middle school students who will tour campus as well as speak with several different university groups before enjoying the game.
North Texas has won at least 20 games in each of the last four seasons, and has appeared in the NCAA Tournament twice over that span. NT returns three All-Sun Belt players in Josh White, Tristan Thompson and George Odufuwa.
The Mean Green will raise its championship banners on Nov. 16 prior to the Texas Tech game at the Super Pit at 7 p.m.
