NEXT GAME: North Texas closes out the regular season on Saturday night at Sun Belt West Division rival Denver at 2 p.m. Central.

TEAM

North Texas clinched a bye in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with the win over UALR – the SBC’s West Division leader.

North Texas won its third straight game at Jack Stephens Center, and becomes just the second Sun Belt team to win at the Jack Stephens Center this year.

 

INDIVIDUAL

Alzee Williams

Reached double figures for the sixth straight game and led all scorers with 25 points. Williams has topped the 25-point plateau in two of the last six games.

Tony Mitchell

Scored his 10th double-double of the year, and the sixth in seven games. Mitchell tallied 13 points and 16 boards.

Brandan Walton

Hit 3-of-5 three-point attempts in the first half alone for his eighth game this year with a trio of 3-pointers. Walton finished the night with four 3-pointers and 16 points on the night – just three points shy of his career high.

Forrest Robinson

Connected on his first career 3-pointer late in the first half to draw NT closer at 34-30.
