(2/10/05) - The North Texas men's basketball team travels to Middle Tennessee tonight at 7 pm before returning home for a doubleheader with the women's squad on Saturday. Every regular-season North Texas game can be heard live on KWRD (100.7 FM) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Coming off a 79-67 victory over New Mexico State, North Texas is set to play two Sun Belt Conference East Division opponents this week. The Mean Green takes to the road to face Middle Tennessee on Thursday and then returns home to host Western Kentucky on Saturday. The Blue Raiders and Hilltoppers are the final two SBC East foes on NT’s regular-season schedule. Currently 11-9, the Mean Green holds its best record through 20 games since the 1994-95 season.
Transfer point guard Isaac Hines has done more than just run the Mean Green’s offense this season, he has scored, rebounded and produced defensively. Hines actually leads the team in assists (3.6 apg), rebounds (6.6 rpg) and steals (2.1 spg) and is fourth in scoring (6.9 ppg). Since the NCAA started keeping stats for steals in 1986, no North Texas player has ever led the team in steals, assists and rebounds in the same season.
