DENTON, Texas (1/07/08) - ULM and North Texas were picked to top the Sun Belt Western Division, but both have struggled out of the gate with 0-2 starts. Tonight, both squads look to get back on track and into the race for the Sun Belt title.

The Warhawks own a 27-14 all-time edge over North Texas, but the Mean Green took the last meeting in overtime in the SBC Tournament quarterfinals. Down 12 at the half, NT scored the first seven points of the second frame and regained the lead on a Harold Stewart jumper with eight minutes remaining. A Ben Bell steal from Tony Hooper sent the game into overtime, where the Mean Green would lead wire-to-wire for the 77-71 win. NT advanced to the tournament semis with the win, and would go on to beat Arkansas State for the SBC crown.

Tonight’s game begins at 7:00 p.m. CST, and can be heard on the Mean Green Radio Network.
