Listen To The Men's Basketball Game Tonight!

Tulsa, Okla. (1/2/06) - The North Texas men's basketball team plays its first road game in close to a month when the Mean Green faces Tulsa tonight at 8 pm. Every North Texas game can be heard live on KWRD (100.7 FM) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

North Texas completed the month of December with a 5-2 record, including a 5-1 mark in home games. The Mean Green played its last five games at home and will play four of its next five at the Super Pit, all Sun Belt Conference contests. While the Mean Green has two non-conference games remaining on its schedule, Monday’s contest at Tulsa will be its final out-of-conference game before beginning league competition on January 5 when it hosts preseason West Division favorite Louisiana-Lafayette.

Tulsa enters Monday’s game with a 4-7 record after dropping its last two games, most recently a 49-68 setback at BYU. The Golden Hurricane Tulsa leads the all-time series that dates back to the 1921-22 season 35-12 and has won the lastfour meetings. Tulsa claimed an 89-71 home victory in the Mean Green’s 2000-01 season opener, which is the last time the two teams met.

North Texas has scored at least 81 points in the last five consecutive games, marking the first time since 1991-92 that a Mean Green team has done so. The last time a North Texas team scored 80 or more points in six consecutive games was during the 1990-91 season when it did it in nine straight games at one point.
