North Texas lost to Co-leader Marshall Thursday night, 97-78, allowing the Thundering Herd to score 61 first half points and 10 made three pointers. NT did outscore Marshall 45-to-36 in the second half but it wasn’t enough.

Sophomore Jeremy Combs continued his torrid pace earning his third-straight double-double with a new career high 28 points and 18 rebounds. Combs leads the C-USA in rebounding at 10.4 boards a game and is ranked 17th in the nation in that category. In his first four conference games, Combs is averaging 20.5 points per game and 14.3 rebounds per contest. He now has six double-doubles on the season and leads the team with 249 total points scored.

Classmate Deckie Johnson is second on the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game and has hit 36 made three pointers. Freshman Ja’Michael Brown scored 14 points in his seventh start against Marshall. NT Hoops Answers WKU Run, But Can't Hold Off Toppers Late
Massive performances from Armani Flannigan and Jeremy Combs helped North Texas erase a 17-point Hilltopper lead, but the Mean Green couldn't make a late five-point lead stand up in the closing minutes of a 65-59 loss at E.A. Diddle Arena on Thursday.
