Pat Ledbetter (M.A., ’75 Ph.D.), Gainesville :: was named a 2015 Piper Professor by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation. The award honors 10 professors in Texas for their academic excellence and commitment to the teaching profession. She has been teaching at North Central Texas College for more than 30 years and is a leader in the Texas Community College Teachers Association, serving as the TCCTA campus representative for NCTC and as a member of the state legislative and professional development committees. She also serves on the UNT History Advisory Board and on the planning committees for UNT’s annual Teaching History and Equity and Diversity conferences. The history department honored her as an outstanding alumna in 1997 and 2005.
