he University of North Texas' Printing & Distribution Solutions won nine awards at the 2016 In-Print Competition, co-sponsored by the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association, the nation's largest organization for print shops housed in larger organizations that they service, and In-Plant Graphics Magazine.

Students who are recovering from alcohol and substance addiction, but do not want their treatment to keep them from pursuing university degrees, will have a resource for them at the University of North Texas. Life of Purpose Treatment, an intensive outpatient program designed specifically for college and university students, will open its second location on the UNT campus in Denton.

Competing with drone quad copters, calculating fuel needs for a flight plan and the chance to fly a small plane as the aircraft's co-pilot – these are just a few highlights of an aviation camp designed for high schoolers coming to North Texas. The five-day Aviation Career Education Academy, which runs June 13 – 17 (Monday – Friday), will help teens understand that when it comes to aviation and aerospace careers, the sky's the limit.

Results from a University of North Texas study found a positive connection between the use of hearing aids and improvements in cognition in older adults who had already been diagnosed with moderate dementia, but the researchers note that auditory training results in more improvement than wearing hearing aids without the training.

Philanthropist Paul Voertman, former owner of the city's iconic Voertman's Bookstore, will receive an honorary doctorate from the University of North Texas. Voertman will be presented with the degree May 13 (Friday) during the annual University-wide Commencement at Apogee Stadium.
