The UNT Honors College promotes academic excellence, fosters intellectual growth and enriches the undergraduate experience for talented and motivated students. While academically rigorous coursework is at the heart of the Honors College experience, its students can also participate in research projects, work with faculty mentors, and even travel domestically and internationally to enhance their learning.

Support from alumni and friends of the Honors College is critical to advancing its mission. From support for student scholarships to funding for research experiences and travel, the opportunities for giving are as unique as the undergraduates the college serves.

UNT alumni: Powering our green light to greatness

Our alumni and friends make a big impact. From giving time as volunteers to supporting scholarships and programs with monetary donations, our community network provides a dynamic energy that propels our students and university to do bigger and better things. Thank you for all of the ways you continue to give back. We look forward to seeing the many ways UNT will prosper in the future because of your faithful generosity.

How do donor gifts impact the Honors College?

Gifts of every size matter. They enhance student learning, support scholarships, create endowed chairs and professorships, fund faculty and student research and creative endeavors, and elevate UNT's prominence and reach – both locally and globally.

Committed supporters — those who believe in what the university is doing and where it is going – are the driving force behind the energy that is allowing UNT to become a national leader in education, research and scholarship, student support and community engagement — the pillars of a great public research university.

How can I support the Honors College?

We are growing—in quantity and quality—and so are our needs. With your support, we can provide more student scholarships, more student research positions, more internship opportunities, and more help for special course needs. We are taking learning on the road, with domestic and international trips that enhance the Honors College experience. With your support, we will be able to do more to provide help to defray travel expenses for our students.

If you’re an alum, this won’t be the first time you’ve heard about the joys of giving back to your alma mater. If you’re a parent or a friend of the Honors College, your help is just as valuable. Please help us to continue to live up to our commitment to provide the best of a small college education in the heart of a comprehensive research university.
